It’s our final post on the Northlake Wedding Tour and we’ve saved the best for last!
Sometimes I dream about my designs. I spend countless hours tweaking the details and envisioning what it is all going to look like on the big day. I love setting up for events and waiting for that magical moment when it all comes together and you look around the room at what you’ve created. When the center table was complete, it was better than I could have imagined! I immediately wanted to sit down and enjoy a long dinner with my closest family and friends.
I love the look of wood tables and Gather Tables had the perfect ones (Kate and Adam created all of their tables for their own wedding and then decided to rent them to anyone who is interested. They’re great people, and their tables are stunning, give them a call!). I then scoured the local fabric stores for the perfect runner. JoAnne’s had the perfect ivory lace linen (I have two of these runners if you’d like to rent them from me) to add some boho to the table. I then had a crazy idea to create custom placemats.
My Mom is extremely crafty, and when I was little she had my sister and I pressed flowers and leaves in between pieces of wax paper to create our own place mats. I thought I’d recreate that for this. Well after a giant DIY fail and three trips to Hobby Lobby, I landed on these picture frame placemats. I forgot to ask Tonie to take a close-up photo, so I only have this iphone one, but you can see it better here. I used three different colors of green paper for the backdrop, and then arranged various foliage. All 26 are completely unique and no two look alike. I love how these turned out, they were the perfect mix of boho botanical and you can hardly tell that they are picture frames. If you’re interested in renting, buying, or having custom place mats created, let me know!
The ladies at Flower Lab did an amazing job creating centerpieces that ran the length of the table. They knew my vision and I didn’t know what to expect, but they blew my expectations out of the water. Trusting your vendors is so key. They are talented at what they do and when you trust them and they are inspired by your design, you end up with a stunning product!
Again, I let the ladies at Flower Lab get creative with the ceremony decor. They designed a simple foliage backdrop with stunning arrangements at the entrance of the aisle. I also love the tall pillar candles, leaves and wood rounds down the aisle. The look tied in all three of our tables very nicely. What I love about this ceremony is that it looks elegantly decorated and styled without being over done. Beautiful!
I would LOVE to recreate this look for anyone who is interested. Shoot me a note via our contacts page and let’s chat!
