We hope you enjoyed the Sage Green Fall Wedding Inspiration we shared earlier this week. Today we’re bringing you the crown jewel of the season – burnt orange. I like to think of this color palette as burnt orange and soft pinks, the perfect combination of the season with a little hint to summer that’s in the not so distant past.

BURNT ORANGE/BLUSH/MUSTARD YELLOW/COPPER:

You can take this color palette in a lot of different directions by mono-chromatically going darker or lighter with any of the four colors. I always recommend a neutral base, and then add pops of burnt orange or copper for example. If you’re looking for a more feminine look, add more blush and pink. For a more masculine look you could add dark wood tones and darker florals such as chocolate cosmos. The options are endless!

FLORALS:

I’m so in love with these bouquets! The colors have a beautiful balance of the deep orange and even brown tones, with the soft blush, yellow and cream accents. There is also a lot of texture as fall leaves and branches offer amazing product for this style. Add trailing ribbons in complimentary colors for added color.

TABLESCAPE:

Adding copper accents is a great way to bring this warm color palette to your celebration. Whether that’s copper chairs, accent pillows, table numbers or even your cake, it’s simple to add classic touches throughout. By narrowing in on a few areas for this color, it will allow the blush and mustard yellow that might be in your blooms to pop. You always want to have two to three primary colors with three or four secondary colors that are sprinkled throughout (neutrals can absolutely be some of your secondary colors, if not one of your primary colors!).

DETAILS:

Whether you’re using a burnt orange envelope, or tying each favor with a burnt orange velvet ribbon, I love the subtle pop of color (the groom’s tie is another great example!). How amazing would that dress be for your bridesmaids?!?! Even something as simple as having your calligrapher write on a few leaves pays tribute to the season and is a nice detail.
