It might be the end of January, but I’m still thinking about my hopes and dreams for the new year (better late than never!). I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I am a big believer in setting goals. I like to set goals in both my personal life and for my business. In fact, each anniversary my husband and I sit down and review our goals from our previous year of marriage, and it’s always amazing to look back on what we achieved and what changed throughout the year.
So as we celebrate this new year full of amazing possibilities, I’ve taken a moment to write out a few things I’d like to achieve in this little business of mine (including a few personal goals). Accountability is huge, so in an effort to be transparent and hold myself to these, I wanted to share them with you. Maybe these things will happen in 2016, maybe not, and that’s okay.
In no particular order…here goes…
I want to help more brides plan their wedding. I want to teach them the ins and outs of the industry and I want to show them that the process can be fun and doesn’t have to be stressful and overwhelming. I want to give them peace of mind and excitement for one of the most special days of their lives.
I’d like to help plan and execute a wedding that requires me to get on a plane and travel.
I want to plan a photo shoot with vendors and people that I have never worked with before
I want to continue to practice a work/life balance so that I can be a good wife, daughter, sister and friend
I want to learn from all of my mistakes
I want to attend a couple of workshops so that I can continue to learn and grow professionally
I want to create beautiful things and have fun in the process
I want to take my new puppy (coming in April!) on lots of walks and look at all the pretty houses in our neighborhood
I want to take Jones Design Company’s Simplified Graphic Design class and learn a new skill
I want to travel to France and eat croissants
