Here in the Northwest we are pulling out our sweaters, boots and scarfs as Fall is officially here! I love the change of each season and I’m grateful to live in a place where we experience each one (and mild seasons at that). Fall weddings are my favorite and there is so much wedding inspiration to be found if you look around – the colors in the changing leaves, the produce and seasonal dishes (not to mention apple cider…yum!), fashion, you name it. So, this week we’re highlighting three Fall color palettes chalk full of wedding inspiration for the season!

This classic look takes a subdued spin on the seasons colors. With cooler tones (mimicking the cooler temperatures), textural greens and grasses (even feathers), and seasonal accents such as white pumpkins, antlers or herbs, this style is truly Fall. This color palette looks stunning at outdoor venues, classic barns, wineries and private estates. It’s lush, ethereal and can be more vintage or modern depending on your spin.

Seasonal blooms to achieve this look include: dahlias, anemones, chrysanthemums, snowberry, hydrangea, and of course year-round product such as quicksand roses or lisianthus. What I think truly makes this look stand out is the use of seasonal greens. Try hops, dusty miller, wheat stalks, veronica, or olive branches, and I love adding in herbs like rosemary or sage.

Neutral linens, or my favorite, a rustic wood table, will give you a beautiful base to design from. Add gold rimmed glassware, individual freshly baked bread loafs, white pumpkins and candle light to create this Fall look.

I had an October bride last year wear a blush dress and it was stunning with her Fall color palette. Look for ways to tie in the season, and your color palette, with little details like including the greenery and herbs from your florals on your stationary items. Or, by having a rustic vase that reflects the wear and tear of the cooler weather. Add your personality to each detail to make your wedding a reflection of you and your fiance!
