There is nothing better than finding a connection with a couple and wanting to be friends with them after helping them plan their outdoor wedding at IslandWood for over a year! Caroline and Sam were this couple. They are the kindest, warmest, genuine people.
Caroline and Sam’s main goal of their wedding was to spend as much time with their friends and family as possible while also highlighting the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. They are truly outdoor enthusiasts and this was an important element to include in the design process for their wedding. While working with the wood and forest details of IslandWood, we brought in florals that were lush and organic looking to seem as if they belonged there or could have been grown there. That coupled with navy blue, dusty blue and pops of “Mexican pink” made for the most perfect backdrop for Caroline and Sam’s special day!
Since guests stayed on the property for the weekend and ate all of their meals in the same room as the wedding reception, we really wanted to transform the space on the night of the wedding from the moment they walked in to make it feel completely different than what they had experienced all weekend. We brought in multiple live trees, hung greenery from the large wood beams, decorated the tables with beautiful items and lush floral arrangements to truly elevate the room into a romantic lodge. It was breathtaking walking in and experiencing it.
We had a “camp patch” wedding logo designed to add a fun element to the weekend. We wanted to highlight that IslandWood is a camp but put a wedding twist to it. Camille from Robinson Creative House integrated this idea into the paper goods for the weekend and it was perfection! She even took the camp patch escort card idea we created and turned it into reality. We LOVED the final product.
The groom’s cousin, who is like a brother to him, gave an incredible toast as did the bride’s Father. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as either man spoke. Their words confirmed to us how fortunate we were to work with this amazing couple for over a year planning this beautiful day. Caroline and Sam, you are truly friends to us now and we are so grateful to have been part of your day!

Do your services include being a “day of” coordinator? I would love to hire you
Yes they do! We call it “Final Coordination” as it is so much more than the day-of. We start working with our Final Coordination clients three months before their wedding and help them by putting a timeline together, floor plans, a ceremony line-up and decor and set-up worksheet. If you could take a moment to complete the form on our contact page, we’ll get in touch with you right away!
