It couldn’t have been a better day for this Rooftop Bridal Shower at Olympic Rooftop Pavilion in Seattle, WA. The bride, Caitlyn, was a nanny for our client Teresa’s boys for years- so much so that she became like family to them. So when Caitlyn announced her engagement, Teresa knew she wanted to shower her with a special day to commemorate this milestone celebration. We had the pleasure of working with Teresa to design and plan this shower from start to finish.

The inspiration started with Caitlyn and her fiances’ honeymoon location, Greece. We wanted to focus on blue and white, the colors of the Greek flag, but put a feminine spin on it. We used a color palette of dusty blue, blush and cream to soften the architecture of the rooftop space which has black steel beams throughout. Gather Design Company created lush arrangements in low compotes to line the length of the tables. We accented with rose gold votives and a hand-dyed dusty blue runner that ran the length of the table to anchor all of the décor.

Guests nibbled on scones, fresh fruit, frittatas and bacon while sipping mimosas with the juice of their choice from the mimosa bar. Libby Tipton hand lettered each guests name tag where they indicated how they knew the bride – a fun conversation started for a group of people who didn’t all know each other. For dessert, and each guest’s favor, we wrapped macaroons from The Sweetside that were placed at each place setting.

It was a beautifully sunny afternoon filled with games, laughter, delicious food, beauty, and showering of the bride-to-be. Special thanks to Kristen Honeycutt Photo Co. for capturing the special day.
