Melody and Alex, a lovely couple from Brooklyn, New York, asked us to plan their wedding at SoDo remotely.  Melody comes from a very large extended family spread all over the world, so we weren’t quite sure how many guests to expect.  We planned for 300 which maxed out the venue leaving us needing to be very intentional with our design concepts making sure that nothing took too much valuable space at SoDo Park by Herban Feast.  It was a fun design challenge with fabulous results.  We did a beautiful vertical ceremony backdrop created with three different wood structures with hanging votives, greenery and blooms that we later repurposed behind the sweetheart table during the reception.  To further help with space issues, we posted signage, such as table assignments, vertically on easels as opposed to a table top display and even flipped the welcome/gift table into a favor table later in the evening!

The Herban Feast team was phenomenal to work with as usual!  So grateful to work with them.  Char Beck, the photographer, was a blast to work with and did a great job of managing one of the biggest family photo sessions we have been a part of.

Once the dance floor opened up, we don’t think Melody left it!  It was a joy to see her enjoying her special day with Alex and all their family and friends.
