The San Juan Islands hold precious memories for both Tammy and Porter, so it was a simple choice when they got engaged on Blakely Island, that they would host their wedding weekend at Rosario Resort on Orcas Island, WA. Surrounded by 175 of their closest family and friends, they said “I Do” on the Point Lawn overlooking the sound. The weather was absolutely perfect for early July. Guests then ate oysters and drank Aprol Spritz on the lower lawn before making their way over the Beach House for the tented reception and dance party.

The design concept was clean and simple. Wood farm tables with white floral bud vases and greenery sat under the white tent, with a pop of color coming from the blue goblets that Tammy sourced. A friend wrote each guests name on a rock that acted as their place card, and the bride’s Mom crochet table numbers and additional signage seem at the bar and guest book table.

When you first meet Tammy and Porter you feel like you’ve already known them for years. They are so welcoming, kind and appreciated our advice and recommendations for Rosario Resort since we’ve been lucky enough to work there multiple times. It was also a treat to partner with the Groom’s Mom, Kathy in our planning. I truly feel like I’ve gained new friends, and they know all the best spots to eat in Seattle, so we’ll be hanging out again soon!
